Welcome back to GunsAmerica for part two of our deep dive into the performance and capabilities of the Strasser STR SR-700 in .308.
In the first part of this series, we showcased the impressive speed of this straight-pull rifle, firing off ten shots in just about eight seconds. If you haven’t seen that initial overview, I highly recommend checking out the link below before continuing with this video.
Today, we’re shifting our focus from rapid-fire action to precision shooting as we test the accuracy of the Strasser STR SR-700 with a Steiner H6Xi 5-30×50 scope mounted on top.
In this video, we’ll walk you through the setup, including a brief bore-sighting session at 100 yards, and then dive right into shooting various types of ammo to see how they perform. We’re using everything from Hornady’s American Gunner and Match rounds to Remington and Sig Sauer loads, all while capturing velocity data to give you the full picture.
As always, this test is about transparency—no cutaways or retakes—just raw, real results to show you exactly what this rifle can do in the field.
From the best results to the outliers, every shot is recorded, and we’ll be measuring those groups on camera to provide you with the most accurate and honest assessment possible. So, if you’re considering the Strasser STR SR-700 for your next rifle, stay tuned to see how it shoots with various ammunition. Let’s get started!
