Jacket separation? Nah. Not with Sellier & Bellot XRG Defense ammo. The projectiles are solid copper hollowpoints, so there’s nothing to come apart when the projectile encounters obstacles.
Since the bullets are all copper, you’ll find them light-for-caliber across the board. The 9mm version I’ve been testing weighs in at 100 grains. Because of physics, that means lower recoil and better control of follow-up shots. I’ve been testing with a full-size Staccato P and a compact Staccato CS pistol. From the 3.5″ barrel CS compact model, XRG averages 1,246 fps from the muzzle and produced 5-shot groups at 25 yards of 2.4″. The larger P model displayed 1.6″ for five shots.
XRG offerings are currently available in .380 ACP, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, .45 ACP and .460 S&W Magnum. SellierBellot.us
