The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5F 9mm Pistol with manual safety is the newest option in the brand’s popular line of fully ambidextrous pistols.
The new Echelon variant’s manual safety is frame-mounted at the rear of the frame. In addition to being ambidextrous and easy to engage/disengage, the manual safety features matching texturing to the rest of the pistol. The result is an ergonomic design that adds an additional layer of safety to an already extremely safe and durable pistol.
The Echelon pistol is a highly adaptable and capable full-size, duty-grade 9mm pistol. At the heart of the Echelon lies the patent-pending Central Operating Group, an entirely self-contained and serialized stainless steel chassis. The result is a system that is easily moved between available grip modules in seconds.
In addition, the Echelon employs the Variable Interface System, which employs patent-pending self-locking pins that can be positioned to direct-mount more than 30 of today’s most popular pistol optics.
The Echelon with manual safety features the popular U-Dot tritium/luminescent sights, and the accuracy performance is ensured by the hammer-forged 4.5” barrel. The pistol comes packed with one 17-round and one 20-round magazine. In addition, both 15-round and 10-round variants are offered for restricted locales. The MSRP of all three versions is $679.
