In 1955, Ruger introduced its first centerfire single-action sixgun, the .357 Magnum Blackhawk. Bill Ruger flat-topped the frame and added excellent adjustable sights. At the time, the .357 Magnum was the most powerful cartridge available, and the Blackhawk quickly became a favorite with shooters and outdoorsmen.
